Ford Adaptive Cruise Control with Pre-Collision Assist & Pedestrian Detection

Ford's Adaptive Cruise Control: Made to Make Your Journey Relaxing

Whether you are taking a short trip to the next town or if you are beginning a long journey to the next state, Ford has made driving on the highway much easier with its Adaptive Cruise Control.

Most vehicles have a cruise control feature, so why is this one so different? Unlike the normal cruise control systems, Ford's adaptive cruise control will gauge the distance between you and the car in front of you and, if need be, will apply the brakes so that you will remain a safe distance away from that car.

Different settings also allow you to adjust this distance. Depending on your driving style you can choose from four different distance settings or you can keep it set to two, which is the recommended distance. If you decide that you would like to drive without the adaptive cruise control, but you still want to use the normal cruise control, you can change it with just a few simple steps. Once you would like to switch back, just readjust your settings and you are ready to cruise.

Pre-Collison Assist with Pedestrian Detection: Designed to Help Eliminate Collisions

As we are driving down the road, sometimes we are caught off guard by a rogue pedestrian crossing the street or the unexpected braking of the car in front of us. Ford's available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection was made to help you be more aware of such disasters. If your Ford vehicle happens to get too close to the car in front of you the Pre-Collision Assist will alert you of a possible accident, while the braking system will prepare itself and, if needed, will apply the brakes for you. The pedestrian detection will also help you be on the lookout for anyone who may happen to cross your path.

These three amazing features will grant you more peace-of-mind as you are driving your friends and family to your destinations. To see what Ford models have these features available, browse through our new and used inventory or visit us at Airport Marina Ford, in Los Angeles, CA, serving Hawthorne, South Bay, Inglewood, and Santa Monica, and let our knowledgeable staff help you discover what Ford model is right for you.
